Well tomorrow I'll be off to Wilmington for my second round with the NC Azalea Festival. Hooray! My experiences at last year's Azalea Festival are what got me thinking that maybe, just maybe, I could have some success with photography. So I'm feeling a little nostalgic and really happy that I'm getting to go again.
I'm also participating in the WAA Spring Show, which takes place at the same time as the Azalea Festival. This year, two of my photos will be on display, the sheepdogs (taken in Ireland) and the horseshoe crab detail (taken on Holden Beach, NC). Neither one of them is four feet wide this time, though.
I would like to make another giant print like the hydrangeas (which were in the WAA show last year), but I love that hydrangea print so much that it's hard to imagine anything else taking its place on the back wall of my booth. I'll just have to keep hunting for more fantastic flowers.
Now, it's been a shamefully long time since I posted any new photos. Below are some of the additions that I'm making to my catalog, many of which I have made prints for sale this weekend! I've had fun finding mats and frames for some of the new prints. Developing an appealing array is in itself a creative outlet. I hope that my creations will find good homes!
