It's time for the Neptune Festival again! I just looked at the Virginia Beach weather forecast and I'm relieved to see that at the chance of rain is relatively low this weekend. Hopefully it'll stay mostly dry and lots of people will come out to the boardwalk. My booth number is 1902!
I'll have new beach prints for sale, as well as photography from this past winter's trip to Spain and Morocco. I also have added springtime flowers and scenes from a recent hike in the Blue Ridge mountains to my nature prints. Finally, for those of you who like to plan ahead, I'll have a selection of cat-themed Christmas cards. Each card features one of my photos and a unique design.
This past weekend as I went through my inventory in preparation for the festival, I took pictures of many of my framed prints. I'm using them as references to create a virtual gallery, which I envision as a step toward the goal of having my photos hanging in a real-life gallery. It's also a way of giving visitors to the website a chance to view a small selection of what I consider to be my best work, presented the way one might see it in a show. You'll be able to see at a glance the breadth of my work and can decide from there which parts of the catalog to browse. That's the plan, at least. All that remains is the execution... Check back in a couple of weeks for an update on the virtual gallery project!
